D65, approximating average daylight at 6500 K, is the white point of sRGB and almost all displays; D50, at 5000 K, is the standard for print viewing because it matches standardised light booths. Working with a D65 screen and judging prints under D50 light is normal, since the eye adapts to each environment separately.
