Lustre Surface
A semi-gloss paper finish with a fine texture, offering much of gloss's density with reduced reflection.
In depth
Lustre, also sold as satin or pearl, is the practical compromise: deep enough blacks for portraiture, a surface that hides fingerprints, and far less glare than gloss. It is the default finish for professional portrait and wedding prints for exactly these reasons.
Examples in practice
A wedding album printed on lustre resists fingerprints from repeated handling in a way gloss would not.
