Bronzing
A metallic sheen visible in dark areas of a pigment print when viewed at an oblique angle.
In depth
Pigment particles sit on the paper surface rather than sinking in, so heavily inked areas reflect light differently from the surrounding paper, producing a coppery cast. Modern ink formulations and gloss optimiser coatings have largely solved it, and it is essentially absent from matte papers where the surface scatters light anyway.

Tilting a glossy pigment print into a light source reveals a faint bronze tint across the deepest shadows.
