Giclée
A marketing term for a fine-art inkjet print, generally implying pigment inks on archival paper.
In depth
The word was coined in the 1990s to give inkjet output a more saleable name in the art market, and it has no technical definition or standard behind it. What actually matters is verifiable: pigment rather than dye inks, a paper free of optical brighteners, and a stated permanence rating.
Examples in practice
Two prints both sold as giclée may differ entirely in expected life, depending on the inks and paper actually used.
