FPV Drone

A first-person-view drone flown through a headset showing the pilot's live camera feed, capable of fast, acrobatic movement.

Measured in km/h

In depth

FPV aircraft are built for agility rather than stability, allowing dives, tight interior passes and speeds no camera drone can manage. The footage is stabilised in post using recorded gyroscopic data. Flying one competently takes months of practice, and the crash rate is a normal part of the discipline.

Examples in practice

A single continuous FPV shot dives from a rooftop, through a window and along a corridor.
