File Naming Convention
A consistent rule for naming image files so they sort predictably and stay unique.

Camera-assigned names roll over after a few thousand frames and repeat across bodies, which guarantees eventual collisions. A convention beginning with an ISO-format date sorts correctly by name alone and remains unique, and adding initials or a shoot code makes files identifiable once separated from their folder.

A name like 20240614_JS_0142.CR3 sorts chronologically, identifies the photographer and can never collide.
