Scalar

A physical quantity that is completely specified by its magnitude (value and unit) alone, possessing no direction.

Scalars obey standard algebraic rules for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Unlike vectors, scalar quantities do not change when coordinate axes are rotated or translated.

Examples in the real world

Mass (e.g., 5 kg), temperature (e.g., 298 K), time (e.g., 10 s), electric charge, energy, and speed.
