A photosite permanently reporting its maximum value, appearing as a fixed bright dot regardless of exposure.

A stuck pixel differs from a hot one in being constant rather than exposure-dependent, and from a dead one in being bright rather than black. Most cameras offer a pixel-mapping routine that identifies and masks new defects, which is worth running if bright dots start appearing in ordinary daylight frames.
