Elsevier Training webcasts on-How To Get Published

Elsevier have developed a series of three training webcasts which last up to 10 minutes each. All are freely available and contain useful tips and tricks to help you improve your research paper.

In this ‘How to Get Published’ series, Elsevier go into how to prepare your manuscript, using proper manuscript language and how to structure your article.

First video: Preparing your Manuscript
What you will learn: how to determine if you are ready to publish, decide on the correct type of manuscript, choose the right journal and where to find the journal’s Guide for Authors.

Second video: Using Proper Manuscript Language
What you will learn: using proper manuscript language so editors and reviewers can understand your messages, best use of English grammar and where to find help with language editing or translation.

Third video: Structuring an Article
What you will learn: how to effectively structure your article before submission. Presenting your Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, References and Supporting Material.

Elsevier will be adding more webcasts to this collection in the future on a range of different topics to help you in publishing your research paper. We hope you will find these webcasts useful.

In addition to this, they also prepared a step-by-step guide to getting your paper published.
